Find supports that suit me

Resources to help you find a provider

The top things to think about before you engage a provider or change your provider:

  • What supports do you need and can the provider deliver them?
  • Do your supports need to be delivered by a registered provider?
  • Would you prefer your provider is registered? This can help with safeguards.
  • Will the provider put you first and listen to you?
  • Can you agree on the type and cost of supports you need?
  • How do you end your agreement if there is a problem that can’t be fixed? Check your agreement for details.

These resources can help you engage with a provider and know what to look for.

The NDIA has a number of resources available to help you consider whether a provider is the right fit for you.

You'll find tip sheets to help you to:

  • make decisions about the types of supports you would like to use
  • decide whether a provider, and the supports they offer, are right for you
  • think about what you want to do if a provider tells you they cannot work with you right now.

Visit the NDIA's Find a registered provider page to view these tip sheets.
